T-Minus 6 Days...........

........until the state of Alabama takes over the early afternoon time slot Janurary 2. The countdown has begun to the Rose Bowl as two a day bowl games have started. Let us know what you think about the first half or so of the games. Could Stickman go out in mullet king style? Can Lester become Irons sidekick to get 2006 rolling like Caddy & Ronnie? Props to Carnell for a buck fiddy against the Tribe this weekend.

Graduation Rates

Florida on top and then Georgia with Auburn sub par and Bama even worse. How accurate are these numbers and are they the sole responsibility of the head coach? Let us know what you think about the recently published graduation rates or go off on another tangent.

With four new coaches in the SEC this year, who made the most positive impact on their new program? While we are on the subject, let us know how you rank the SEC coaches.

Where are the Alabama fans?

Will Bearback be there?

Sports talk in Atlanta revolves around Georgia with tidbits of other SEC teams. One interesting side note dealt with the Alabama Crimson Tide fans. Buck and Kincaid spoke on 680 am of how "embarassing" the Bama fans are since they are not buying any Cotton Bowl tickets. Texas Tech was outselling Bama by several thousand at publishing. On the other side of the coin, Auburn has requested more tickets and Florida has not had problems selling their New Years allotments. Is this an embarassment to the Tide after the successful year they have had? Let us know what you think about the lack of support Tide fans are showing their team in a New Years Day bowl game.

Tebow to Florida

Did Shula miss the boat on this one? Did it really matter anyways with Bama already having JPW and Barnes? Can Andre Smith make up for Tebow? Let us know what you think about the weekly happenings.

Questions

What if DJ won the job from #14 or David got hurt? Would he have been the next Charlie Ward? He had a little more NFL talent around him that could catch the ball(when Junior is not over the middle). Sean Bailey could not catch a cold all season and came thru in the Dome. What if the rest of the team had rallied around the Tereshinksi?

What if Bama had pulled it out against LSU? Would the Iron Bowl have been different? 11 sacks? Maybe 15+ if Bama was undefeated?

What if Auburn would have run Irons against Georgia Tech 40+ times instead of throwing? Borges only offensive blunder in two years? What if they sat #22 all season? What if JV had missed one less field goal or two in Death Valley?

Would Tubs be Tubs without the ears and confidence?

Doesn't Mark RICHt look like Helen Hunt?

How long will Shula remain clueless? Is the pantwetting picture real?

Can Shula/Stickman/Alabama's cheerleading sqaud of a line/non-playmakers outscore Texas Tech? Does Bama have enough DB's to cover the Red Raider recievers?

Bowl Prediction Series

Apparently something was said along the way about Bowl Predictions this holiday season. $20 appears to be the buy in. The winners will be picked in every game from the New Orleans Bowl played December 20 thru the "Grandaddy of the them All", the Rose Bowl, played on the fourth day of next year in primetime probably called by the "Grandaddy of the All", Keith Jackson. The tiebreakers will be the winners against the spread in the BCS Bowls plus the Capitalone and Cotton Bowls. All of the New Year in all its pigskin glory. Six games against the spread and all twenty eight bowl games are your best Christmas presents. The winnings will be split as follows; second place gets their money back and winner takes the rest. Please have a moment to yourself, take a few deep breathes. Then make a few picks.

IRON BOWL 2005.....Domination on the Plains and other SEC Ramblings

4, 3-0, & -17..........Numbers of the Weekend as AU pounds Bama for the fourth straight time, Tubs whips Shula to run his head to head record to three wins and no losses against the turtleneck, and the negative yardage the Tide O produced in the first quarter as the game was over with 3 minutes to play in the first quarter. Domination.

LSU stomped Ole Miss America to set up a possible date in the Dome with Georgia. Does Arkansas have a prayer Friday?

Georgia stomps Kentucky to clinch the East. Should the real SEC championship be LSU vs. Auburn instead? As we speak right now, the Tigers are the two best teams in the SEC. Head and shoulders above the rest.

Pat Dye is to Bill Curry as Tommy Tubs is to Mikey Shula. Both Bama coaches are winless in three attempts vs. the Tigers. They got outcoached every time, also.

Let us hear about your take on a great Saturday of football and any interesting stories.

November 12....A Saturday to Remember

SEC & Respect

Auburn last year. Alabama this year. We might have another Civil War. Why is it that the SEC is not getting any respect? Let us know what you think and what the SEC teams and conference as a whole can do to correct this.

Wednesday, November 09, 2005

Picks for November 12

LSU @ Alabama
Florida @ South Carolina
Florida State @ Clemson
Arkansas @ Mississippi
Georgia Tech @ Virginia
Auburn @ Georgia

Let us hear what will happen Saturday?

Tuesday, November 08, 2005

Saturdays like November 12 are the reason the SEC is the GREATEST CONFERENCE EVER

Bama welcomes LSU to T-Town this weekend. They will need to score at least two offensive TD's to beat the Tigers. Can LSU move the ball on the Tide D? I think so because the only legit O they have controlled all year is Florida and they are just now starting to get in a groove. Bama got jumped in the AP Poll and leads by a slim margin in the Coaches Poll. How do they react and more importantly, do they have the firepower to react? We find out this weekend if Bama is legit without the P. Can Jamarcusrusselcumbum succeed in his home state? I'd take the under. Can Bama find a way to win without a deep threat and zero offense against LSU?

Auburn travels to Athens for the Prime Time Ron Franklin National Game of the Week in the Oldest Rivalry in the South. Can the Tiger D recover from a lackluster showing in Lexington? The Tigers should be doing tackling drills this week with a rested Dawg O aiming to shove the ball down their throats Saturday night. Can Auburn come out and repeat the aerial assault of '99? Maybe so if the Tigers can run the ball to keep the heat off 12. Georgia might come out blazing after an embarasment in JAX with a repeat of '03. Auburn has a chance if they keep 22 on the sidelines. Can DJ win a big one with a brace against a fast but hopefully embarassed Tiger D and can Cox, not just perform, but excel in a frenzied SEC stadium at night on the road?

How about Ol' Steve Spurrier? I believe this man knows a little bit about college football. Can he fight off the Gators this week in Columbia? A Holtz coached/abused team would have 6 losses instead of 6 wins today. Do you think recruiting is picking up at USC? Knowing Spurrier, he will have some tricks up his sleave against better talent from his alma mater. Can intangibles, coaching and emotion triumph superior athletes in Columbia on Saturday as the Gamecocks host Florida?

This is the most exciting weekend of the year so far in the SEC. Let us hear what you think about this weekend's action and what will go down on the best November Saturday in recent years.

Kentucky Fans

Kentucky fans might have taken the cake for worst fans in the SEC. During AU@KY, an Auburn extra point flew over the net. The few Wldcats that were in attendance preceded to throw the ball out of the stadium. Apparently they were attempting to recreate Wrigly Field in some twisted way. Yeah, I know that was a reach. Let us know your wildest fan stories from visiting stadiums.
