SEC & Respect

Auburn last year. Alabama this year. We might have another Civil War. Why is it that the SEC is not getting any respect? Let us know what you think and what the SEC teams and conference as a whole can do to correct this.

Why no respect? How about 1 offensive TD's in the last three games. 1 win the the last 4 agains hated Auburn. A Daddy Boy joke as a coach. When Croom is saying you play with no class, you are in trouble. The booster who got you in trouble did not even attend a class in that dirty river city.

The SEC gets no respect because the others are jealous. The SEC produces the most NFL talent. LSU, Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Auburn routinely stock every team from superstar to roleplayer. The team speed of 1-12 is better than 1-8 of any other conference.
The majority are the the tops in Scoring D.

As Croom said, "They are undefeated but the other things will catch up with them."

Shula, it doesn't pay to coach dirty!

Keep winin', Bama!

One example was last Saturday and the glorious showing the Great Pumpkin made in South Bend giving up 27 points to the Irish O. And it is a bunch of white boys!

Crimson WIne,

I agree with the whole talent issue. The SEC puts more guys in the NFL than any other conference. Why don`t we settle this argument on the field and let the All-SEC team play another all-conference team and see who wins. That would get the SEC the respect it deserves. Pac-10 would just send USC since that is all they have.

I think the conferences stack up like this:
1) SEC
2) ACC
3) Big 10
4) Pac 10
5) Big 12
6) Big East

The SEC gets no respect partly because they knock eachother off every year. Any bad team can beat a good one on any Saturday. Also, the SEC plays DEFENSE! In the PAC-10 you see 54-48 games and this impresses the pollsters. They love Notre Dame simply because of past tradition. ex: Notre Dame has beaten 1 top 40 team this year....that's right 1. Why in the hell are they ranked #7 with 2 losses? Because they took the great USC to the last play of the game? The way I see it, a loss is a loss and therefore you fall in the polls. Not in this world. As long as we rely on stupid, non-athletic, sportswriting, loser ass dorks, to chose who is the best team then we will deal with media bias. Do you realize that the people voting in the polls probably NEVER played a sport even in high school. These were the guys that I put in the trash can during lunch and after school. Fuck the media and the BCS. Winning the SEC is just as good of an accomplishment as winning the BCS. Like I have said before, If I ever meet someone who says they vote in the AP poll I will immediately punch them squarely in the face. Regardless if they have voted for Auburn in the past or not. These people either vote with a personal agenda or they are lazy and watch ESPN and vote on highlights.

Mark Bradley of the Atlanta Journal and Constitution:

"If UGA beats Auburn they will become the Flagship program of the SEC. With UT in disarray and UF in transition, UGA has become the Golden Child of the toughest divsion in college football."

This guy is a effing loser. LSU has won 2 SEC titles and a National title while UGA has won 1 SEC title in 25 Freaking Years. This is the kind of sh!@ I have to read in the AJC every day. Yet another example why Dawg fans foolishly think they are better than everyone else.

If AU is up bu 14 at the half, the stadium will be half empty.
Screw 'em. War Eagle!

This is how I see it. Until media figures such as the ESPN idiots start talking about SEC teams they will not get the respect they deserve(Like Tubbs said, Media giants like ESPN control who the pollsters pick whether they will admit it or not). The reason they dont talk about the SEC is because the sloppy playing(mainly defense) of conferences like the Big 10 and ACC make for a fascade of an exciting game and high scores. These misleading stats help these teams look better than they really are and gain BCS points. Which produces a snowball effect of less attention paid to the SEC and more attention for the lesser conferences. If these people would watch SEC games instead of paying attention to the scores alone they would understand the majesty of a Saturday in the South.
The worst thing is, I dont see it getting any better in the near future. The SEC is too competitive, and people who dont live in the south dont understand this.

Kevin Sears is suspended for Saturday.

crimson wine?? such a genius, typical auburn fan typical auburn name

first off big boy Shula is in his third season, so Shula is 0-2 against Auburn. Soon to be 1-2. Daddy Boy coach seems to have the best record in the SEC right now.

I personally could give a shit what Croom says. He sucks his team sucks, and he still has hatred for not getting the Bama job. If you paid attention to the game I believe MS State had the only personal foul penalty for a late hit. Unless he was mad about the celebration call?? Thats not playing dirty. Start calling names when YOU can't win Croom, no one cares. Croom won't make it to his fourth season.

If it is Keep whinin Bama it is spelled with one "h" after the W. Or is that a cute pun on your original name?? I believe the only whining on this blog would all of you complaining about the 9-0 Tide.

Roll Tide!!!!!!!!!

King of Tigerland said...

Dr. Feelgood,

How can you be so confident that the Tide will earn W's when you are heading into your two most difficult, important games and you have no offense and the Tide O is trending downward? Thought.....the wine is probably refering to scotch of the bear or JPW.
The only way the AJC writer justified his comments was with the big "if" before the Georgia win part. On any given Saturday, anyone in the SEC can beat anyone else. The talent level is so even that whoever makes it out alive deserves the be NC. Dawgs, Tide, Vols, Tigers...whoever.

King of Tigerland said...

Sears only started 3 games this year. I can't remember a 40 tackle. He will probably get a better chance in the pros than AU as the Tigers like 165 lbs. LBs. and not six four two forty.

King of Tigerland said...

Notre Dame and South Florida (Big East champs) in the BCS???

King of Tigerland said...

After what has happened to me in the Atlanta apartment business this week, the righteous hand of God will bring the smack down Saturday night in Athens and bring certain individuals to their knees. My hatred of UGA has been stoked by the classless acts of a few.

shakeyour$maker said...

Dr. Feelgood,

Croom did have a good point saying Bama plays dirty! Did you see how nasty the Bama players were when they came out of the locker room without having a shower all day? I can see why they call them "dirty" because they are "dirty people." Only examples needed are The Fat, Nasty, Smelly, Britt Boys. I heard Taylor Britt did not even wipe himself after taking his pregame shit. Brodie thinks this trend gives him a better grip on the ball. I think Croom made an excellent point.

You know things are really screwed up when a shitty S. Florida team can go to a BCS bowl. If Bama does do the impossible and goes undefeated, without a shot at the championship....I call for a move from the NCAA and any other ties to college football. The SEC is so powerful, it could exist on its own, and play a full schedule of 11 games that would be so much more entertaining than a game against an MTSU or a Ball St. We have no need for this shit. I think the following would continue to be as strong as ever...and anyone that knows anything about college football knows that the SEC is the best football played hands down. Any thoughts?

shakeyour$maker said...

What happened King of the Jungle that made you hate UGA so much all of the sudden? Was it "only dick sucker on here" that got to ya? Anything that comes from that stupid ass is pointless and very uneducated. He can`t make a point of his own..."My friends told me....Greg Blue told me...." I think those UGA pricks are gonna be in for a rude awakening Saturday night.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Kingdom - No one said I am confident about the W, what I am confident is about the fact that we have a shot at the W. Throw away your love for the Tigerland this game is a coin flip game.

Shake - I agree with dropping some or all of the cakewalk out of conference schedule. What makes no sense is how the media has 5 SEC teams in the top 15, 3 Pac-Ten, 2 Big Ten, 2 Big 12, and 2 ACC. The SEC is the greatest conference, and the fact we have no explosive offenses we get no credit.

Maybe when the Tide plays Florida State in 2007 the media will go apeshit.

Daddy said...

Let's just secede again and form our own country united by SEC football!

King of Tigerland said...

Dr.,

Auburn clearly has the edge on O and home field advantage. The D's are leaning toward Bama with a possible draw. Good point with the rankings. Don't vote for the SEC if you are going to rip them. I do applaud Bama for their scheduling. They have added Penn St. Ga Tech, and FSU for the future. More than AU has done. We will have a great picture if and a great situation if both Bama and Burn can survive their toughest tests yet.

Daddy,

Start the succession.

Shake$,

I work for a Georgia company and some other events that have my mind made up about a few things and my cannot be changed on these issues.

My inbox is not clogged and I haven't heard from those boys all day. I guess the head email nazi is out of the office.

King of Tigerland said...

Has that Bama grad school Auburn defector posted his picks?? Has everbody?? I am looking forward to seeing the Dr. next weekend (and the rest of ya'll so don't feel jealous.)

King of Tigerland said...

The SEC Champ should get an automatic bid to the BCS Championship game. Greg Blue needs to shut his mouth bc he will be backpeddling all night as the Tiger backs and recievers run by him. I will be suprised if he gets a Junior hit like he says he will.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Kingdom,
Thanks, the Dr. found out today that the trip is on. No looking back. I will see you all late Friday evening.

Figured this would fire up the Auburn boys. Cold Pizza this morning, Woody Paige on commenting how wrong Croom was for his comments said that even when he was in school the Alabama fans showed the most class in the SEC and still do. It is Auburn who has "the blah, bad people."

Daddy said...

Woody page is hilarious, but he is also senile.

shakeyour$maker said...

Dr Feelgood has AIDS

King of Tigerland said...

A. Croom is jealous and Jesse Jackson is in his ear telling him what to say.

B. Woody has AIDS and what actual interaction has he ever had with any SEC fans in college? Where did he go to school? He needs to put one of those Rocky Mountain Oysters back in his mouth to hush or talk about the reemergence of one of Mom and I's favorite programs, CU. Go Buffs.

tigernation said...

All Bammer and Dawg fans and players have aids. They also have the clap and scabees. Hydrant pissers, better known as leg humping ball lickers are also known to have fleas and ticks. This can be taken care of by dipping the animal in a flea and tick repellant. See your local vet for information.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Shake, your mom shaked her money maker and gave me that case of the STiDs.

Kingdom, oh how wrong you are about Mr. Paige. He might have the Virus, but I beleive he attented the University of Tennessee. He has had plenty of interaction in the SEC.

Dr. Feelbad:

Leave Shakey's Momma out of this. I think his SISTER is the one who likes to Shake it, shake, shake, shake it like a Polariod Picture! Damn that chick is fine as hell!

King of Tigerland said...

Dr.,

How can I be wrong when I am asking a question? Did they not teach you about punctuation at Snead?

Congrats to Weedy who is the lone Tennessee fan in the national media right now. What does he say about the pumpkin behind closed doors?

I think it was the male side of the $maker family who was shaking/chest bumping/tequila shooting/passing out and having your gf's father and uncle carry your ass back home. Do it Big R!!!

Dr.Feelgood said...

Once again you are wrong kingdom, it was Shelton not Snead. Shelton State Community College. Tuscaloosa baby.

Woody does not like Tennessee, nor the Pumpkin

King of Tigerland said...

Snead or Shelton. Is there a difference?

King of Tigerland said...

Ladies,

I am leaving work now so i hope you all enjoy your weekends as i will think of you as I toast the Gator, Tide, and Tigers!

Dr.,
Deep down we all know you are a Tiger.

Dr.Feelgood said...

You know I followed Bobby Sproull. Snead has no DUI Bobby

Kingdom
You forgot about the pigs !

King of Tigerland said...

Momma,

We only talk about teams with more than 3 W's here. I am on my way to Athens in the morning to watch the rightous hand of God smack down the Pups. We shall march on.

Dr.Feelgood said...

March on? Or could we get another quote like this Sunday morning

Auburn wide receiver Anthony Mix after loss to LSU: "Coach Tuberville told us after the game that we really won, but LSU scored more points."

King of Tigerland said...

Well, Tubbs told them wrong. Alabama has nine of them, Auburn has earned only 7. LSU has seven. Goergia has zero and they are all LOSERS. Yeah, you will pay. Trust me. It is only the reality of the situation. I am suppose to be leaving for Athens in 4 hours (8am). Guess I stayed up to late as the Virginia Highlands of Atlanta called me name. Gp to UVA and see what happens after school. I prefer the SEC education that was only completed after 5 football seasons.
