3 months til football. Mark Howard of the AJC is already predicting a ho hum Georgia season made by a victory over Auburn.

Barbaro's leg after surgery. Kinda looks like Wilber's knees.

I hope all had a nice Memorial weekend. Lake Chatuge was a nice place. Water was clean. The boat stopped working. Got towed back in my a good ol boy wearing a Kasey Kahne hat.

Kasey Kahne wins the 600. Roaring Wilberos edging out $hakes for Fantasy NASCAR supremecy.

Nice finish in the Indy 500.

Braves sweep Cubs.

Thanks for joining, Nikki.

Ladies, have a good week. I am off to Gulf Shores with Mom and the sister before starting back to work hustling DHL.

Yeah, that's about 2 years old there Wilbur, but thanks.

And it's Mark Bradley from AJC....not Mark Howard, and he has no idea what he is talking about.

My UGA buddies made a point to tell me that if Irons gets hurt that we will have no running game and the season will be over....ok, we'll see........Will Brad Lester and Ben Tate please stand up?

Spent Saturday at "Cocktail Cove" on a 37 foot yacht......ladies everywhere...along with Newman and Jay RussRuss. Crazy day.

So crazy in fact, that I have been sick as a dog for 3 days. This is after I backed over a tow rope in the boat and had to wind it out while treading water in the middle of a crowded Lake Lanier. LOOOOOng weekend on the lake, 2 days too many.

Well, well well. I guess you turds missed me a little huh? I have just returned to work after a long beautiful weekend in Gulf Shores. Water was gorgeous, food was great (cooked 10 lbs of Crab legs on Sunday) , weather was awesome, but my sunburn hurts like HELL. I pulled my hair back in a pony tail (and yes my hair is long enough to pull back. Not a long pony, but for sure a Johnny Travolta from Pulp Fiction), to try and get some sun on my pale forehead. I just got a little too much sun on that spot all the way to my hairline. It hurts to even brush. So I said fuck it around 9am this morning and went and cut my hair because of the pain. It is shorter, thinner, and doesn`t hurt to comb. Feelin Alright!

How was everyone else`s weekend?

Mark Bradley is just telling the UGA fans what they want to hear, so they don`t kick his ass in public. UGA will be lucky to hold off UT for 2nd in the SEC East.

He's already married to a girl named Kate Strickland from his high school.

They didn't date in high school and only dated for about a year before the engagement and then they eloped to Key West.

So we are playing the reception on July 8 at the CCC......Shakes, any news on wheter or not you will be able to make it? It will be a CRAZY party.

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Looks like Shakes will be able to attend the reception for the big "Russ Russ." As long as there are no emergencies....I should be able to make it. Song list needs to grow some...I`m thinking old school for the wedding reception...stuff everyone likes....Van the Man, Rod Stewart, Etc....

Daddy- Did they cancel school today? You lucky bastard. So yall just chilled the whole weekend?

Dr.- Congrats on the 2nd win on the golf course. All those lessons I gave you at Oxford Lake Par 3 are paying off.

Kingom- There is a lot of NASCAR season left. My boy Jimmy J is gonna win the championship....I would love to see Jr or T. Stewart win it though.

Talked to the bride about some songs and she had some suggestions:

Mississippi Queen (Mountain), I guess because she lives in MS now.

Listen to the music (Doobies), we should be able to remember this one

Van the man, Doobies, and others sound good to me.

What about-Mama told Me not to Come, Gimme the Beat Boys, Jackson 5, and some of the others that we did at the Phi Mu graduation party?

tigernation said...

Yeah, we should probably look into some Eagles.

Shakes, y'all should come up on the fri before if possible and we can get some practice and maybe even some lake time in.

I have a guest room at the house with a queen bed so y'all can stay for the free.

tigernation said...

As long as Shakes can do his "lounge singer" act we will be fine.

ShakeYour$Maker said...

"The Lounge Singer" act will be in full effect that night.

tigernation said...

I think we need to get you a maroon leisure suit and a bow tie.

I can't wait. Jay's mom did ask if we could play anything to dance to. So we need to work up some goodies.

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Some Elivs would not be hard...Charles and I played a couple last time we played at Quixote`s.

Maybe some Beatles..."Ballad of John and Yoko" and "Little Help from my Friends"..We could try Joe Cocker "Space Captain" but it could be too hard without a piano....Bob Dylan..."The Man in Me"... Little Feat "Dixie Chicken" (Maybe too hard without piano again)...We played "back where it all begins" at Quixote`s too....We could do that into "Franklin`s Tower."

Charles knows a helluva lot more songs that I didn`t know he could play until he busted them out on stage. He even played Keitha`s songs from the Peerless....all those Neil Young tunes.

HELTER SKELTER...You may be a lover...but you aint no dancer!

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Some Neil Diamond would be awesome.....

"I wrote this song on the back of a Dixie cup... on the road between Little Rock and Omaha, right after I got finished having sex with a 13 year old Asian prostitute named Caroline."

ShakeYour$Maker said...

I was also thinking about some "Stuck in the Middle with you" by the Stealer`s Wheel...and "Hey, Hey, What can I do?" by Led Zep Zep. I think both of these would be easy to play (or learn very quickly!) What cha think?

ShakeYour$Maker said...

No, I haven`t seen it yet...Have you Daddy?

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Yes there are Daddy. The stones would be very fun...and most songs should be easy to play.

Dr.--How is the life in Memphis? You doin alright? When do you move out of the sweet ass crib?

Daddy- You at school now?

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Cool...I am about to be out and about, so if you don`t mind...I may stop by in about 30-45 minutes. Is that cool?

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Cool...see you soon!

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Sounds like Mandel is a little confused.....DJ Hall is no Tyrone Prothro. O-line shows improvement from last year???? OK, that`s cool...instead of giving up 11 sacks in a game...they will only give up 6. Great Improvement!!! The D will be nowhere close to where they were last year....especially with a criminal as the leader.

Discouraged: Florida??? WTF? Questioning the play of Chris Leak.......if he doesn`t play well right off the bat, he will sit and watch from the sidelines. Tim Tebow will be on the field in no time...if and only if Leak can`t get the job done. I think they will be good..but not great. I look for them to win 9 or 10 this season.

tigernation said...

I hear ya Shakes. Got any song ideas for the RussReception?

Going to the Crowes in B-Ham in June? I think I may try to get some tickets.

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Nation-- Look above to find all the songs I have suggested.

"Ballad of John and Yoko"
"Stuck in the middle with You"
"Never been to Spain" (Easy)
"Midnight Special"
"Mama told me Not to Come"
" Old Friends" -Allmans
"The Man in Me"
"And it Stoned Me"

ShakeYour$Maker said...

Nation--I don`t know if I will be able to make it up there (B`ham). It`s during the week, right?

tigernation said...

Yep on a Wednesday.

Those look like some great picks. I really like all of them.

Never Been to Spain will be a hit for sure.

tigernation said...

"But I kind of like the music"................my buddy Jerome will be loving this song if we do it.

Chuck D, me, and old Kim just got ticks to the Crowes in bham. Seats and everything.....35 bucks a pop. Gonna get fffff'd up that night.

You guys should try to make it.

tigernation said...

Ever wonder what the Auburn fight song would look like translated into German?!?!?!

Here you go:

"Krieg. ...Eagle Fliege das Feld
hinunter Je, Nie zu erobern,
Krieg. ...Eagle furchtlosen und wahren
Kampf auf Ihnen Apfelsine Zu Ergeben, und blau
Geht! Gehen Sie! Gehen Sie!
Auf zu Siegstreik auf das Band
Gibt ihnen Hölle, gibt ihnen Hölle
Gestell auf und Aufschrei, He!
Krieg. ...Eagle Sieg für Kastanienbraune
Kraft von Dixieland!"

tigernation said...

June 28 yes, and you know you want to go......

I found that on autigers.com...some dude put it up on the message board.

Tuberville disappointed in arrested players' actions
By Christa Turner, Staff Writer

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn University head football coach Tommy Tuberville expressed surprise at learning of the arrest of redshirt freshman linebacker Tray Blackmon on May 13 in LaGrange, Ga., his hometown.

LaGrange police charged Blackmon with underage drinking and pedestrian under the influence. According to the incident report, Blackmon was arrested after police observed him exiting from a wooded area and unable to walk steadily. Police alleged in the incident report that he was in a vehicle they followed after observing inconsistent behavior. The four people in the vehicle abandoned the car on the side of the road and ran into a nearby wooded area, the report said.

According to the incident report, Blackmon had a blood alcohol level of.16, which is twice the legal limit for anyone driving a vehicle.

Tuberville had not heard about the arrest and did not comment other than to say there would be some form of discipline for Blackmon. The charges are similar in nature to those sustained by senior linebacker Kevin Sears last fall. Sears drew a one-game suspension for the Georgia game after an arrest for driving under the influence and public intoxication.

A one-game suspension would damage the strides Blackmon made during the spring when he moved to first-team status at weakside linebacker following an injury to Merrill Johnson. A possible suspension would open the door even more for Johnson to regain the slim edge he had on the spot before his ankle injury.

When reached by phone, Blackmon had no comment about the incident, but said he expected some form of discipline after Auburn coaches learned of the arrest.

Shakes, do you think you might want to play the Fri night before the Russreception?

Dad's buddy Ronnie has a birthday that fri the 7th and wanted to have us play at his home in Alpharetta. Huge house, probably a bunch of big money types, catered, free alcohol, maybe some cash I don't know. Should be a good crowd

Thought we could use it as a tune up for Jay's thing......let me know

tigernation said...

I thought it was ok.

AJ's new girlfriend is HOT!!! I would marry her tomorrow, kid, accent and everything.

Is Chris gonna get killed?

Looked like the NY guys were pretty rude to Tony at the hospital. I hope Phil dies from the heart attack.

I wish Carmella would give up on the Adrianna search...that bitch is dead as hell.

Not a bad episode, just ready for the final 8.

Is it really a whole year until the final run?

tigernation said...

I hope the AU team read the article about being overrated.

That is the kind of stuff we need to be showing them prior to the first game every year. We always do better when picked low.

This year's Tennessee = UGA or UF.

The schedule sets up for UF to get throttled once or twice....if they go unbeaten then they sould be given the NC before the bowl game....I mean, who has to play AU, LSU, and Bama from the west in one year?!?!?! That sucks!

UGA might just get a QB controversy after about game 2. If the "Book of Mark" is rotating QB's all year, he will lose 3 or more. Oh yeah, his offense will look EXACTLY like it did about 3 years ago...early in the David Greene years.....short timing routes with a 3 step drop to take the pressure off. He will not put his QB in a place where he will get hit.....which sucks because I want to see Stafford get his head knocked off.

tigernation said...

That's like saying if you take out the Barfield years at AU, we hold the record over Bama. Can't take out portions of history......although I would love to for the sake of argument.

If you take away a few of my C's and D's I made at AU, I graduated with a 4.0!!!

tigernation said...

The entire northeast cares and that's about it. I can't stand the hype either. But not much we can do about it down here in the south.

Lets just hope they lose one of those first few games. Isn't it something like GT, Mich, Mich St, Penn St to start the season? That's pretty tough to start out. I'll be a Tech fan on the first game of the year for sure, because if they don't lose one of those first few, they pretty much have a run out until USC.

tigernation said...

they could lose the first 2 and still be about 9 or 10.
