Dale does it

Junior snaps his drought at Richmond on the short track. Good win for him. Braves are spiraling. This could be the year. Shula gets a new contract. Open Monday. Good week.

A new month of May and a Junior W call for a return of Jessica.

I have absolutely no idea what the first post is talking about.

Also, saw a little sticky spot on the third pic of Jessica on the front page......not at work Kingdom, not at work.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Just dropped off Shakes at the airport, get you all out the photo of Shakes and the Dr. with Warren Haynes.

Mule show was good, but BLues Traveler was awesome. Never seen them before, and always thought they were real commercial, but they jammed out. Warren Haynes came out and played a couple of tunes with them. Did their Imagine cover with the harmonica.

Paul Thorn was good, Al Kapone a.k.a. Al Kapeezee was also entertaining.

Stopped by Chicago and Gin Blossoms and basically wasted time. I think the comment was "I refuse to sit in the rain and listen to the Gin Blossoms"

tigernation said...

Nice weekend.

Got a text from Shakes last night at about 12:30 my time, telling me he just met WH. That is pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Yeah, need to see that pic. Is he pretty short? He looks like a little pudge ball on TV.

Glad to hear y'all had a good time.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Yeah he is Shakes height with a john goodman look to him. quite ugly. We thought he was going to play at BB Kings, they went in to eat in the VIP room, then his music started blaring out of the speakers, but they left without playing

Daddy said...

I am jealous as hell that yall met WH. I bet he is pretty cool to talk to.

I have my last final tonight,(the last final on the last day, as usual)at 5:00, so wish me luck, I need it. didnt get much sleep last night dealing with the little furball.

I saw Blues Traveler back in the day and it was good. Did he go nuts on the ol' mouth harp?

tigernation said...

I don't kow about the show, but I do know that you, Daddy, like to go nuts on the Tonsil Tuba, along with the skin flute. Anything that has to do with blowing on something to make noise, you seem to be great at!!!!!

i'll tell you how to shut the puppy up at night..........beat the hell out of it(not with your hand, use a rolled up magazine) and yell VERY loud so it's too scared to move....then they just fall right to sleep. They forget about the beatings once they get older I promise.

Just had a great phone interview with Racetrac Petoluem in their real estate division, got a 2nd interview ride along tomorrow. My May vacation has to end eventually....but not quite yet.

$ & Diddy,
Need any goodies when I come on Thursday??....might have to adjust schedule a wee bit for Racetrac but thats ok. Branch, my freshman potluck roomy is graduating. He is almost as old as Nation. Fall 1999, CDV Extensions on campus apartments.

First post was about Bonds.....sorry I had fun this weekend.

tigernation said...

Man I am bored as shit.

Calvin Booker, #3 QB at AU is leaving and will be sitting out a year to play at GT.

King of Tigerland said...

good for him....Demarius bilbo clone maybe...start at QB and then WR?

tigernation said...

No WR. Only QB. He could have changed to a couple of different positions at AU, but only wanted to play QB.

He's 6'4" 245 so thats a pretty big WR.

I was hoping he would move to DE at AU, but he was not open to any moves.

I wish him luck, would love to see him do well in college somewhere.

He was quoted saying that he loved AU and has no hard feelings. Called it "bittersweet", didn't want to leave the coaches and players, but has to move along.

King of Tigerland said...

Nation, do you carry couches? leather or microfiber to match first purchase out of school leather recliner

tigernation said...

Yes I do. I carry Lane, you have probably heard of them. Pretty nice stuff. My buddy Newman spent about 2500 bucks on a leather couch and 2 matching leather recliners. I saved him about 700 dollars. I'll make you a deal.

Don't know if we have the exact match but I can order you something close.

Daddy said...

Well I am through with exams, so now yall have to put up with some extensive daddy blogging.

How long are you staying?

Dr.Feelgood said...

Good deal daddy I should be on constant from around 1 on.

We have Lane leather couches in the Memphis batchelor pad, and they are unbelievable. Just as comfortable as a bed

tigernation said...

I'm ready to blog with you daddy.

Congrats on finishing. I know it's a load off.

Man, Warren Haynes is really not as big as I thought.

tigernation said...

Yeah, Lane is one of the best. And not too expensive.

You get what you pay for when you buy furniture and bedding.

Sure, I could probably sell 4 times as much if I sold cheap shit. But I'd be picking it up in 2 months also.

Anybody up for a lake weekend soon? Took the boat out with a good crowd on saturday and we had a blast.....then went to a little concert at Brenau college, outdoor small ampitheater(sp?), lots of fun. you guys should make the trip.

Nothing like quality furniture.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Yeah Shakes was afraid we pissed off the other two members of the mule because he just said warren can we have a picture. After he said that they walked away and warren stayed behind

Daddy said...

The band is probably used to that though, they know that warren is the shit.

I am up for a lake trip at any time.

tigernation said...

Oh, so he had everybody with him. I guess Matt Abst was the drummer but who played bass?

Dr.Feelgood said...

Andy Hess

tigernation said...

No reason for him to be pissed. Never heard of him...ever.

Got the Z up to 110 yesterday out on GA 400 in front of the store. That is really freaking fast. Still want to see if I can go just a little faster. Just have to find the right time and place!

tigernation said...

If I bottom out the Z i'll be doing right at 160.

I don't know if the engine will safely do that, even in 6th gear that would be pushing about 8 or 9000 rpms......redline.

I read on the 350Z message boards that a stock 2003(mine) would do about 158 in perfect condition. But I don't really want to find out.

I think I'll shoot for about 120 or 130 and leave it at that.

The fun thing about the Z is the way it handles. Taking sharp turns at 60 or 70 is pretty damn fun.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Yes right now is huge downtime for football, especially since the draft is over.

Did any of you all see where the Lions players are bitching to the union about their practices being to rough??

tigernation said...

Ok, betting on baseball is risky to say the least. My roommate is an ex-bookie and he won't touch it, and he LOVES to gamble. Most times you have to bet like 120 to win 100, you know how the odds work.

Knock yourself out though, if you think you have a winner.

(Hand Raised) Me, me, I'm ready for football.

Been on the 350Z message board for a while. Those guys know their stuff man. Getting lots of good detailing and driving tips........basically, if you are racing, don't shift until the engine is about to explode!! Not that I race, but I do like to go fast when I can.

tigernation said...

Yeah, the Lions are like 0 for the decade, and they are bitching about having to hit a little in's your freaking job!!!!!

Not everybody is lucky enough to play a GAME for MILLIONS of dollars......shut up and bust ass for 3 hours a day and you might win a game......bunch of freaking babies.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Seriously, and how long are their practices 3-4 hours a day??

Not betting on baseball I just was looking at lines earlier today and saw the baseball lines and had never heard of anyone betting on baseball or do it myself.

tigernation said...

Betting on baseball is pretty big. Not real popular among guys our age I don't think. but most of your serious gamblers do it.

Of course, those guys bet on everything.

Now that I say that, daddy and shakes will comment on the part about "guys our age". They'll say that guys my age are all married with 3 or 4 kids and grandkids.........see how I did that you young bucks.....I predicted what your smartass comments would be about my age!!!

Daddy said...

Yeah, I definitely would have commented on that.

You sure are becoming wise in your old age.

Dr.Feelgood said...

An age factor set in this weekend. Young perfect bodied high school girls running around the music festival, but other than the few with a hippie flare at Mule, there were none around any of the other shows we saw.

For some strange reason everyone in this town loves Staind. Maybe it is because they are local, but I bet all those little high school girls were singing their hearts out to "Its been awhile...".

So it was numbing to see that the majority of the women at the shows we would go to have gotten ugly or aged

Dr.Feelgood said...

Sorry that is confusing and written as a stream of conscienceness.

Basically my point being that there were good looking girls around, but not at the shows we went to. For instance, I bet Blues Traveler show 5-7 years ago would have pulled a younger group of women

King of Tigerland said...

The Z sounds like a ton of fun.

tigernation said...

Oh, the Z is a ton of fun for sure. Got my first payment due on the 1st of June....ouch!!!

Yeah, most good shows these days don't have a ton of hot women.....except the 'Crowes show at the Fox.....CRAWLING with HOT hippie bitches...but not Granola hippie, like, tight jeans, tank tops, and sexy boots!!!!!

The Kid Rock show I went to was the biggest redneck factor I have ever seen....yep, even more than Skynyrd...if you can beleive that.

tigernation said...

3." Don't fret --- I've been in tight spots before"

4. "Howdy, partner"

5." You stay here while I sneak around from behind"

6. Two words: "Saddle sore"

7. "Hold it right there! Now, move your hand reeeal slow-like"

8. "Let's mount up"

9. "Nice spread ya got there"

10. "Ride'em cowboy"

Anybody watch the Evolution of Dance video I sent by email yet???? So funny.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Just got to that email nation, it was very good. Emailed a mass forward of it.

The brother one was just gross. What a loon.

Daddy said...

The dance video was great.

THat tailpipe picture was gross. What is wrong with people like that.

It is nasty as hell today in Auburn.

Dr.Feelgood said...

nasty here too.

be back in hour

tigernation said...

Just overcast here. Guess the nasty is on it's way. Great, just in time for my day off tomorrow.

Think I'll go to AutoZone and buy some new items for the supplies.

I think I might look into adding some modifications to it. You know, make it REALLY fast and loud. Like a redneck.

Anybody know anything about cars?

Daddy said...

You are definitely gonna need some ground effects with neon purple and green lights. A bra for the front end, a sweet spoiler for the back end. Also some killer lettering on the back window and front window, that says something like "ZZZZZZZZZ" or "Get Some" or "Man o' Steel".

Daddy said...

On the real though, make your exhaust really loud, and tint your windows if they aren't already. Dont add too much though.

tigernation said...

Windows are tinted. Factory exaust is pretty loud but after market would be better.

I want a cold air intake, or some kind of turbo pack to make it faster and add more HP.

Saw some videos on google of Z's that were modified and they were FAST!!!! One of them blew away a Porsche 911(966) on the interstate (don't know how).

Also saw a stock Z in a drag race against a BMW M3 (from inside the car)...they were hauling ASS and the Z edged it out at the end. But pretty much even. So cool.

Daddy said...

Yeah, I really dont know a whole hell of alot about cars, but I like it when they are fast!

Dr.Feelgood said...

I think any car with a slogan written across the windshield automatically drives faster.

If you really want to impress or have the need for speed, add some nitrous boosters

tigernation said...

I looked on and they all have a "JWT Popcharger".

They say it adds about 7 HP and makes the car howl when you rev the rpms.

I think that is what I am looking for. Only $110.

Gives more power in the top end, and since I'm not into racing off the line at a red light, I think this may be the ticket.

Y'all will hear me from the tailgate when I'm crossing the state line!!

Dr.Feelgood said...

Add a whistle tip to make your z go Whoop Whoop

tigernation said...

Naw, it already goes Whoop Whoop. factory 10" sub behind the driver's seat.

I never thought I would be so gay to get into my car like this. But this is my new baby. I actually look forward to driving to work in the morning.

King of Tigerland said...

a pair of fuzzy dice would cap it off..............did you look at Infinit G35's when you were searching?

tigernation said...

Nope. Only the Z. The G35 is nice but closer to sedan.

I wanted to go sporty

Dr.Feelgood said...

We saw a monte carlo on 24's this weekend, and it was ridiculous looking. The wheels looked so big it made it look like a hot wheel.

Even though the cab driver corrected me and said he thought they were 23's, an I have yet to figure out what made him think he could tell the difference between an inch from 20 yards away

tigernation said...

Yeah, I've seen some cars on 24's or whatever. They look entirely too big for my taste.

Look like they are literally riding on silver serving dishes from my mothers china cabinet.

So stupid

Dr.Feelgood said...

So do you agree with that email that Rafael Little and McFadden are better RB's than a back to back 1,000 yard rusher heading into his senior season?

That is a little absurd to me seeing how McFadden and Little did not rush for as many yards as Darby last year.

tigernation said...

I think its pretty close.

Darby did it behind a shitty O-line as did Little.

Mcfadden was all Arky had, freshman phenom, lots of hype.

I would put those three pretty much even, with a slight lead to Darby 'cause of his stats, shitty line, and experience.

I think Little is the best catching the ball, McFadden has the most speeed and power, Darby sets up blocks and is very shifty. 3 different styles.

Honestly though, on talent alone, it's really hard to separate any of the backs on the whole list. I think Thomas Brown from UGA is good, small and relatively easy to tackle, but good.

So many good backs in the SEC that a top 10 is VERY subjective.

Dr.Feelgood said...

I think you could also argue that Darby could be the best back in the league.

It is a toss up between him and Irons

tigernation said...

Nope, you would argue that one!!!! JK :)

Yeah, like I said, it's really who you like I guess.

The real question is, who would be the best QB in the league?

I guess you have to say Leak or Russell, but Leak sucked last year and Russell might get beaten out.

UGA - Freshman probably, no way JT3 starts all year

UT - Ainge is a head case

SC - Nope, nose is way to big

OM - Sheaffer(sp)=thug

Ark - Dick, Johnson, Penis

AU - Cox is ok but no arm strength

UA - JPW, don't see him as the # 1 SEC QB. No experience, and if the o-line lets down again he will have a tough time.

Don't think there is even anyone else worth mentioning.

Guess we'll have to wait about 4 months to find out.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Schaeffer has yet to make his grades, may not even be on the field this fall.

No first year starter should be considered.

Ainge's hype is banked solely on Cutcliffe, and the kid has done nothing on the field to deserve it.

Leak cannot run Meyers offense

Russell may not start

Cox nothing awesome

It would have to go to Russell(if he is starter) or Cox by process of elimination.

Interesting fact on Darby
80= yd ga,es last season
Darby 11-12 (70 yd other game)
Irons 9 -12
McFadden 7-11
Little 6-11

That guy is an idiot Darby 4th

tigernation said...

Is that # of 80 yard games in the season?

If so, that is pretty good, but don't foget, my boy Irons only had 1 carry in game one. And lost his starting job before the Arky game.

Regardless, I agree, Darby should not be #4.

I heard just a minute ago that Lindy's magazine is out. I wonder if it has made it's way over here yet. I need to stop and try to get one on the way home. So be on the lookout when you are at the gas station.

Jeeeeeez, off-season sucks!! I'm so freaking bored.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Yeah, the only game Darby didn't have at least 80 he was in the 70s

Also remember Irons finished with 17 more attempts than Darby

Just had my afternoon popcorn snack at work

Dr.Feelgood said...

I wonder if my Lindys will be coated with UT and Ole Miss

Check this link out for the Cardinals new FB stadium

King of Tigerland said...

I think McFadden will be better than Darby but not right now. I played against Darby in HS and he is a shifter. He is the 2nd best RB in the SEC. Watch out for Cory Boyd from SC this year and I think Lumpkin is GA's best back.

Irons is the best bar none.

King of Tigerland said...

great email vids nation

King of Tigerland said...

mine will be red and black

Dr.Feelgood said...

Bar none my ass Darby is just as good as Irons

King of Tigerland said...

no many did he break over 30 yards? I think he is solid but no gamebreaker like Kenny.

King of Tigerland said...

Did he run for over 200 on LSU or over 160 on Georiga?

tigernation said...

Mine will be red an black also damnit.

Popcorn is a great mid-day snack before going home for din din. Although I keep PB&J in the fridge here, so I have one of those at about 3:30 every day. Just like when I was little!!

Yeah, 17 more carries and like 56 more yards. Not that big of a difference if you ask me.
So 1 or 2 more carries a game.....could be a 80 yard td or a 5 yard loss. Guess we'll have to wait till next year.

Hey, we should place some friendly bets on the final SEC individual rushing, tackles, passing...etc. Make the season that much more interesting. not a lot of money. Maybe no money, just a wager.....anyone????

tigernation said...

Try over 180 on UGA Kingdom...180

Dr.Feelgood said...

Ok so two games make him bar none??

He had 37 attempts against UGA and a 74 yarder against LSU

Irons had the better line and was not a return 1000 yard runner.

Darby is consistent, yardage is even, ypg even last season.

With stats fairly even and Darby with a sophomore year like that you cannot say bar none. Even Shakes said he thought Darby could be the best this weekend.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Yeah need to work up a ballot. Alot more people will be keying on Irons early this year after Cox loses WRs and 2 starting tackles.

Darby might be all we have and people will key in on him.

It could be a random, or McFadden or Little

shakeyour$maker said...

My 69 cents.....

1) Irons and/or Darby
3)Mcfadden (Machine)
5)Brad Lester (If he is at full speed...could be a game-breaker)
6) Thomas Brown

1) Cox (Leak would be here if he played for any other team in America)
2) Leak
3)Jamarcus Russell/ Matt Flynn
4) Blake Mitchell
5) Tim Tebow (Even though he will be behind Leak...he is still one of the best QB`s in the SEC...anyone catch him during UF`s spring game? He is the future of SEC football)
6) JPW (Should be better than Brodie...he can get out of the pocket at least...hard to put him any higher on the list without more experience)

shakeyour$maker said...

I`m getting scared here at the office. The fucking roof sounds like it is about to fall in. Rain Rain go away...come again some other day.....or I will kick your damn ass.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Tebow hasn't seen an SEC D, but I think he will be a good QB as a freshman

King of Tigerland said...

Shakes, change of plan. I am not coming tonight bc of the weather but I will be there for almost a week the week after next. Sorry bout that.

Nation, day off in the next week or two....lake...pontoon boat??? I am on a working vacation for May so I want to have more fun before it is over.

I just don't think that Darby can break I wrong? He is more PJ Daniels than superstar.

We need to have a pool/point system for the awards and ALL SEC to see how we do when it is all over.

King of Tigerland said...

Little is KY's only weapon. Would he be a starter elsewhere?

King of Tigerland said...

as for the AU recievers.......the ones that are left may be better prospects for the NFL than the two Africans who were drafted late.

Courtney Taylor...potential first day selection

P-Rod...great size and potential

We shall see......not much drop off on the LT spot but I am worried about Cox's blindside with weak bone/calcium defeciency and about him making it thru the season

King of Tigerland said...

actually yes, dr, those two games prove he is a better back. Big players make big plays in big games on Saturday night prime time.

We have not seen Darby take over a game or be THE difference maker......with all of Stickman and Shula's trouble....he could have been a savior by breaking a few more than 5 yards average. He might break more long ones at UAB or JSU or Troy. So would Tre Smith.

Being able to take your team and yourself to the next level is what seperates KI and Darby right now.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Breakaway potential is good to have but if your yardage matches up whats the big deal about long runs??

the 74 yarder came in a loss, and the 68 came against ball state, other than that Irons never went over 30 yards.

I think Irons and Darby both have the potential to be the best RB in the league. One is not BAr none better.

Au WR COurtney Taylor definitely could be good, but if he gets another nagging injury he may produce like last year. Also you lost 3 solid reciever and replacing them with 1 good one and one with potential

Dr.Feelgood said...

Daddy said...

If Mcfadden had some help he would be a star.

Right now i would agree that Irons and Darby are about equal. But I think that Irons is gonna have a break out season this year. He is knda like Caddy in that if you get him one on one, he will be tough to stop.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Thats ridiculous. You lost one of the games that he stepped up in, and I don't believe Irons had anything to do with the 4th down play that saved the GA or both of those performance would have been in losses.

Darby - 5.2 per carry
Irons - 5.1

17 carrys and 53 yards difference

If he busts all theses big ones Irons must have alot of 1 or 2 yd carries to even out.

They are both the best backs in the league Neither is that much better

Daddy said...

I think Rod has more than just potential, I think he will be the go to guy by the end of the season.

Daddy said...

i am worried about Cox's maturity, especially after what happen to shakes in the elevator.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Games with runs over 30+ yds in 2005

Darby - 3 (Utah State, Ole Miss, Florida)

Irons - 3 (LSU, GA, Ball State)

tigernation said...

See the difference in the last post.

Not saying the Irons is that much better. But I'd rather have my back go big against LSU and UGA before Ole Piss and that porous UF D from last year.

Both backs are great and this is a stupid argument.

But, who was voted as the 1st team All-SEC RB? Or were they both?

That will answer the question.

What are the stats versus common opponents?

Each team has a different offensive scheme, plays different people...etc...etc.

Hard to compare apples and apples in college football. Never an even playing field.

Dr.Feelgood said...

I am not trying to compare them, thats exactly my argument, that these two backs are very similar in stats.

LSU was a losing valiant effort, and FL was #3 team in the nation. Ole Piss had a great D and played us close. UGA good game.

ALl my argument is that one is not hands down better than the other. all I'm saying.

I think they were both 1st team right??

Dr.Feelgood said...

I guess I am comparing, shit, yall know what I mean

tigernation said...

Yeah, no big deal. I don't think that one is "bar none" better than the rest. Like I said, the SEC is loaded and Irons and Darby also have pretty much matching stats.

Whats cool is how they run with completely different styles but both get the job done.

This just makes me wish it was football season.

Probably should enjoy the summer 'cause football season goes by so fast.

Daddy said...
