Midweek Update

I hope all is well with everyone. Newports are downright nasty. Why would you want to smoke fiberglass when you can smoke the good green cigs? It was nice to be home in Alabama this past weekend. Yes, my home is in Alabama.

The Braves are starting to show a little bit of life. Keep winning series and they might have a chance in August. The Phillies might be the team to beat in the East instead of the Mets. Almost a given the Wild Card will come from the East right now. Yes, my fantasy team has gone down the toilet already. At least there is fantasy NASCAR.......

..........Greg Biffle won Saturday night in Darlington. That was good to see and a long time coming. Smoke, Biffle & Junior are my favorite drivers......anyone else?

"The aim of life is self development. To realize one's nature perfectly-that is what each of us is here for." - Oscar Wilde......Oscar's favorite drink-----Absinthe in an old ad. I have done some good reading on while on vacation.

Alabama baseball one of the tops in SEC and Auburn is one of the worst. Best facilities in the nation and a new Healthsouth next door can't get some talent? First losing season in a while hurts. Baseball and Mens B-Ball at the 'burn need to pick it up. Sad state of affairs. There is always swimming if the girls would swim in string bikinis..

Gotta love Elisa. She would swim and dive in a string. She said she would do it naked for DFF.

Anywhere from #3 to #8 is what we are starting to hear about the preseason ranking of the Auburn Tigers. I am hoping closer to #8 than #3. I am scared Cox might not make it through the season. He did last year but he is one shot away from not broken bones; but crushed bones.

I'm going to go ahead and say JPW will be better than expected and might be in the top third of the SEC QB's by the end of next year. He just needs time to throw. Tebow might get a shot in many first halfs this fall. How much difference will Nikita Stover make for JPW in T-town? Tons. He might be the shot in the arm Bama's O needs.

SEC West starters are looking like Jamarcusrussellbum, Henig at State, Shafing from grades at Ole Missy, who knows for Nutt, Cox for Tubs, and Johnny Walker Wilson for the Tide.

How much will Tim Hawthorne contribute as a freshman? I think LB Craig Stevens might be one of the better signings in Auburn's class when it is said and done. Imagine a backfield of Lester, Fannin and Tate year after next.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen.

Nice front page kingdom. I agree with about everything you got there.

I also can't believe I forgot about Craig Stevens. His highlight tapes from his senior year are awesome. He is by far one of the best pick-ups of the class. I hope we start a little pipeline to Lincoln HS in Fla. They have tons of talent down there.

Everybody needs to visit Athlonsports.com. They are counting down the top 25 preseason, AU just came in at #9.

Looking for some orange and blue shoes for the upcoming season.

Found some Pumas on ebay that are perfect but they are a ladies size 8. They don't look like ladies shoes, but how big is a ladies 8 in mens? If it's a 10 then I might just buy them.

I think every pitcher for every team should throw at him once a game if not more.

I know my high scholl coach would have us throwing at his "fucking head" every at bat.

Sorry ass, self-centered, cheating, womanizing, drug abusing, racist, spoiled, going to die of cancer, piece of shit from my hairy white beautiful ass!!!!

Thats the mag I posted a couple of things about the other day. We keep it in the bathroom here at work.....Just a conversation piece...

There are tons of crazy opinions in there so you will enjoy it....or at least get a kick out out of how little the guys actually know.....FULL of contradictions....pumping up every team.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say about some of the stuff.....you will be like "WTF are they talking about?"

tigernation said...

Ha Ha.....that is funny...

I like to keep the mags till after the season so I can go back and look at how wrong they are....

Yeah, it's the white "man" holding that black "BOY" down.

Bonds is the son of a wealthy MLB player. He grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth and knows NOTHING about racism.

Hank Aaron faced thousands of DEATH threats during a very racially tense time.....10 or so years after the civil rights movement......Bonds, and ALL blacks in general have no idea how good they have it.

I'll stop so I don't write a novel, but I don't feel bad for any black athlete, actor, or high profile black person......the black person is catered to by every part of our society...from the government to the media to the education system...they have it all laid out for them.....shut up Barry and Danny freaking Glover....go make "Lethal Weapon 23" and STFU!!!

Thats a good point. And I think it can be said that all sports, college and pro, are very quick to annoint someone or some team the "Greatest of all Time" or "The Greatest we've seen since....". Gets old and does put a lot of undeserved pressure on the athletes.

LeBron is incredible for sure. He is just an unreal athlete.

I don't really follow the NBA too much but I'll take a look to see who is winning once the playoffs start.

I guess if ATL had a better team I would be more interested.

Ever been to one of those bars?

If you're nursing a beer or you pussy down a shot, they will turn off the music and call you out...maybe even make you leave....

Oh yeah, don't order water!!!!

ATL has a "rebuilding year" every year. It's a never ending cycle of poor play, attendance and attitude.

tigernation said...

I saw bits of it. Some of the girls were hot, some average.

Most of them had a hard time with the bartending and dancing...which is the bulk of the job.

Never saw the finished product though. Should be a good time.

Hell, wait till the "new" wears off the place and get to know some of the ladies...could be fun since you do live in the same town.

I bet that place is slammed for the next 6 months

tigernation said...

Oh it will be crawling with greasy hair(not gel, but actual grease), mustaches, tattoos, cowboy boots, large belt buckles, stained teeth, and Lynyrd Skynyrd t-shirts.

Daddy - is it true that Arkansas just got central heating and air along with indoor plumbing about 4 years ago?

Or was it this year that they got central heat and last year that they got electricity and indoor plumbing?

tigernation said...

Well, contrary to what you might think daddy, I was not alive when the conversion to indoor plumbing was made. At least not in the great state of GA, where we are pretty far along with progress and technology.

Unlike Arky, we have had electricity for some time now, as well as indoor plumbing and central heat and air.

Does Arky still use Confederate money?

Great!! I've been looking for a good coonskin cap and some trading beads. Next time you go can you get me some?

I don't want to have to deal with the Cherokee Indians up here...they always rip me off when I try to get some coonskins for 2 possums and a furry beaver.

tigernation said...

Seriously though, about raccoons.

My Dad took Bo for a walk around the golf course the other day. He said Bo took off running after something down by a creek, when he looked he saw that Bo had a raccoon cornered. The Coon was drinking water or something and was PISSED that Bo had bothered him. He was making some hissing noise and showing his teeth from what Dad said.

Dad called Bo off before something happened. I think that Coon would have cut Bo up pretty bad.

Ouch!

Kim tried to claw out my eyes one time......story for another day

nope, have to work lots of saturdays and the ones I don't work I pretty much have already booked

tigernation said...

Prolly try to get to the Crowes but thats about all of my show going for the summer. Unless I get the yearly..."hey man, got an extra tick to the Buffet show, you wanna go?"

If that happens there is a 50/50 chance I will be shirtless, urinating on the HiFI Buys lawn, while making out with a 43 year old 'neck woman.

tigernation said...

Have you ever been to Buffet in ATL? It's a good time, but I've been so many times that it's just like going on the lake or going to a Braves game....no EXACTLY what to expect. Still fun.

I think it sold out this year REALLY fast....as usual. It's usually full of middle-aged men, with stuffed parrots literally on their heads, Hawaiian shirts, and way too many margaritas

check out www.badjocks.com to see pics of the northwestern soccer girls getting hazed and having to give the boys team lapdances....yeah, seriously
