Wintry Ramblings

On this cold and dark night in North Georgia I find myself enjoying the afterglow of the bowl season.

I can now spell Vick...T-H-U-G. Two days after being booted off the Va Tech football team, he pulls a pistol on 3 teenagers in a McDonalds parking lot. I'm loving it!

Ron Mexico should jerk is chain.

Everyone is going pro. Pope. Sims. Jackson. Who will make it big at the next level and who could use another year of seasoning?

How about the NFL? Bama alum Alexander the MVP, Auburn alum Caddilac the ROY. Not bad watching the Redskins D with Carlos Rogers and Marcus Washington going after Cadillac.

Vick sucks. He won`t get drafted in the NFL. Nobody has time to babysit a grown ass man. What team wants another TO? I know he might not talk shit like TO, but Vick`s actions make up for that. I hope he has fun watching his brother play, because that is all this THUG will every get to do if he is not in prison by next season.

As for the state of Alabama representing in the NFL...what`s new? Auburn and Bama dominate the running game in the NFL. With Alexander, Rudi, Caddy, Ronnie, Tony Richardson, Brandon Jacobs,Stephen Davis, and Fred Beasley. (Apologizes Dr. if I left any Tide players out.) Defense is full of Tide and Tiger players too. Deshea Townsend, TKO Spikes, Marcus Washington, DT, Dansby, Willie Whitehead, Gary Walker, Moorehead, Cornelius Griffin, Derrick Pope, Antwan Odom, Myers, Carlos Rogers, Roderick Hodd Spencer Johnson, Mark Brown, and Reggie Torbor.
How can the SEC not be the best conference? You would think that AU and BAMA would be the two top teams in the SEC with the guys they have been putting in the NFL lately.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Shaud Williams in Buffalo, Chris Samuels in Washington, Justin Smiley in San Fran, Jarret Johnson in Baltimore, and Kindal Morehead in Carolina.

Not only all of these but think of the AU AL players who are on rosters that didn't really make an impact in the NCAA

How many guys does UT have in the NFL? I wonder how AU and Bama stack up against UT and Florida.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Tide has 28 active, UT has 41 active,
UF has 37 (including some shaky ones like Shane Matthews)

Some of the names on there websites might be inactives now. I know Alabama's Bama in the NFL page is current. Players like Wesley Britt didn't make it because they are practice squad players

Vick has nothing to worry about. He knows he will never have to work because of his brother's millions. You would think he'd have enough sense to just stay out of trouble but what do you expect from an ungratefull ______ fill in the blank.

It is very nice seeing SEC players running the show in the NFL. We counted like 8 players from AU and UGA in 2 games on Sunday. And that is common with most games, there are usually at least 5 or 6 SEC players in each game. That has to be up there when compared to other conferences.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Not practice squad but inactives, apologize

Dr.Feelgood said...

FSU has 47 active, what does the U have?

shakeyour$maker said...

The U has 55 current players in the NFL. I guess the South knows what the NFL likes.

shakeyour$maker said...

Shane Matthews??? Didn`t he play on the `92 Gators team, and threw and interception (Which is now a famous print by Daniel Moore) in the SEC CHampionship game? That means that this Matthews cat is like 40 something now. WTF????

shakeyour$maker said...

FYI----LSU has 36 current.

tigernation said...

FYI - I want my money from the bowl pool.

No really, who won?

Dr.Feelgood said...

I know I did not

Dr.Feelgood said...

yeah I think there NFL list is somewhat bogus. I don't think they should count if they just signed a contract or like a one game play deal.

Shane Matthews would be an ol summa bitch

tigernation said...

I turn 26 next Tuesday so that makes me an old sum bitch also. Damn it, getting older sucks ass!

Dr.Feelgood said...

I am still a young stallion compared to all of you

tigernation said...

I may be getting older but the "stallion" moniker still applies.

Dr.Feelgood said...

fair enough

Am I the only one who has been bored senseless with the lack of college football?

It hasn't been a week and I'm in the midst of severe withdrawals. College b-ball at this point in the year is absolutely draining to watch. It takes 100% concentration to even be interested. And frankly I can't stand it.

I only have one thing to say about the NBA......."Organized Thuggery."

AU vs. UA basketball tonight.....predictions?

Since I know and care little about either team I will go with my heart and say Auburn 68 Bama 65.

But who really cares?

shakeyour$maker said...

I like Auburn`s chances against Bama. Although the Tigers are VERY young, I think Lebo has got them ready to play. Bama just had a big guy go down for the season, and haven`t gotten off to a great start. Bama did start with a killer schedule which could be the reason for the slow start. I will go with:

Auburn 76 Bama 69

Dr.- what is the white kid`s name that starts for Bama?

Dr.Feelgood said...

What little chances the Tide had are now as blown as CHucky's knee.

Auburn smokes the Tide by 20+

Shakes - Justin Jonus

I have been attending Memphis Tigers games as well. Pretty fun team to watch.

Other than the "Iron Bowl on the Hardwood"...have yall seen the list of players going into the draft on espn.com? What is the deal with the guys from South Carolina? There are 3 guys (1 JR.,2 Soph.) going pro...CB-Jonathan Joseph,S-Ko SImpson, and RB-Demetries Summers. Has Spurrier pissed these older cocks off? What did these guys prove this year...other than showing the world how hard they suck? I thought the only person that could make it to the pros from USC was Sidney Rice, the WR. He`s only a freshman though.

shakeyour$maker said...

Dr.- I like that Jonus kid. He can play some ball for a whitey.

Dr.Feelgood said...

yeah he is not bad. Bama will be in disarray in the first full game without Chuck Davis. Gottfried is a great recruiter but I don't think that great of a coach. I don't think he can change the gameplan after banking the season on Chuck.

Thats like two or three years ago when Bama lost four off the 4-9 team. It makes no sense but then I can't understand most tribal logic

shakeyour$maker said...

Hey I just counted up the Bowl Prediction Series records.

The winner of the first anual BPS is Matt "Republic of Tigerland" Wilbank.

Kingdom-16-12
Nation and Shakes- 15-13
Dr- 13-15
Daddy- 12-16

Bill is the only one that picked Texas to win the NC. That is pretty funny stuff. I still think USC is a better team than the one man wonder Texas Longhorns.

Dr.Feelgood said...

Who do you think the Saints take? Young or Leinart??

shakeyour$maker said...

Kingdom- I will get you your money when I come to Monks wedding.

tigernation said...

Summers from Carolina did not play this year and was not a part of the team (thug). He just had to wait until this year to declare. The Simpson guy is good enough to go. I don't know who the other guy is.

Yes, I did pick UT to win and therefore I declare myself exempt from paying the $.

If USC was the better team they would have won the game. Don't make yourself sound like a Dawg fan Shakes. It breaks my heart. They may be a better team on paper, but on that one night Texas was better. Young is a part of the "team". If the better "paper" team won every time then college football would be no fun...right? I'm just glad I don't have to hear about the "Greatest team and players of all time."

Are y'all driving back to the plains after the wedding?

shakeyour$maker said...

USC is still a better TEAM than Texas. If you take Vince Young off the field, the game would be a blowout for USC. Now if the roles were reversed, and you took R. Bush out of the game...it really wouldn`t change the complexion of the game. They will have other speedsters (not as good) to come in and play well. The Texas D is good, and a little better than USC`s D. But overall USC has the better team, not just on paper.
Nation- if you take away those stupid plays that were not replayed, it would be a much different score. I`m not trying to say Texas isn`t good...I just don`t think they are as good as USC. They were "as good" as USC on one night. I think USC would win that game 8 out of 10 times.

No I think we are gonna stay the night in ATL. Are there any hotels close to the reception?

Dr.- I take Young, because he is the ultimate double threat. I do think Lienart is a better all-around leader and a hell of a lot smarter, but NFL is for athletes not brains.

tigernation said...

I think we are making the same point. USC is better top to bottom but not on that one night. And that is why they play the game. I won't argue that USC has better talent. But that does not always win the game. If that was true then UGA and LSU would win the national title every year, judging by recruiting rankings. (bullshit by the way)

I'm not exactly sure where the reception is but I will be looking for a room also. So if you find a decent rate let me know and we can all stay at the same place. I can see it now.......drunk as a monkey Shakes and Nation show up at the hotel at 2 a.m. screaming about Auburn and jumping in the pool with nude ladies.

tigernation said...

Check out http://www.onepete.com

Dynasties should win more than one right?

Dr.Feelgood said...

Nude Dudes with you Silly Faggots

tigernation said...

Dr.

Shhhhhhhhhh, trying to keep that on the DL. Got an image to uphold.

shakeyour$maker said...

Nation-I have completely lost my invitation and directions and everything, so I will need someone to help me figure everything out. Do you still have your invitation?
I need to see where we are going so I can book a room close by, because I know I will be drunk.

Dr.--I hope the nude guys are cute. I only get nekked for the cute ones.

shakeyour$maker said...

Later Fellas! I`m taking it to the Hizzie. Talk to yall tomorrow.

Nation-If you do have your invitation, please let me know where we will be going so I can find us a hotel to stay at. Thanks man!

tigernation said...

I do have my invitation. I will bring it to work tomorrow and post the address. I will also use my vast amount of spare time to search for a cheap but clean hotel room. Maybe a Holiday Inn. Or possibly something along the lines of......you guessed it "THE KEY LODGE!"

Dr.Feelgood said...

Peace out. Look for me on TV tonight going to see the hometown Grizzles and my boy Pau take on the Kangs

See yall tomorrow
