Brad Lester was helped off the field yesterday after taking a helmet to the knee. Tubs said not serious but still a scare if you ask me. Although, that is the one place where we do have lots of talented depth.

Also, Kenny Irons injured his knee and ankle last night in a preseason game for the Bengals. Not sure how serious.

KI was carted off the field. Apparently got caught in the astroturf while juking.

ouch that sucks.

Shakes - i'm trying to find some more easy songs for us. I was thinking Brown Sugar by the Stones for one.....unless you don't think we can pull it off as a duo....but i think we can. Give me some more ideas so i can practice this weekend

Looks like a nice weekend on Lake Harding.....I know that $hake that lil wee wee will be moving so Daddy, what are your plans Saturday?? Are you down for some lake if we go?? 25 minutes from Auburn.

Any good word on Ed J, Nation? I was up in Cumming yesterday and almost made the extra trip to come see ya but I had to get back to civilization, if you can call ATL that.

My last interview is next tuesday and then i'll know. I'm not really getting my hopes up too high, although its hard not to think about how great it would be to land it. They only hire like 8% of people who interview so the odds are stacked against me. I just have to really ace the interview I guess, but that still doesn't guarantee I would get hired.

King of Tigerland said...

If they hired Restless Legkicker, they will hire you!! or was that AG Edwards....anyhoo...you are money.

tigernation said...

I'm worried because I messed up on the exact dates that I worked for Scout in Charleston. I hope they don't hold that against me.

I mean, they wouldn't keep from hiring me because I guessed wrong on exact dates would they?

King of Tigerland said...

I wouldnt think so unless it is off by several months in length........do they check it out??

What up Laides?

Nation-- Brown Sug sounds good. Anything by the Stones would be great. I was thinking about some songs by Dispatch (Two Coins, Out Loud)...and maybe some James Taylor (like Mexico, Fire and Rain), I also wouldn`t mind trying some Little Feat (i don`t think a song like Dixie Chick Chick would be tooo hard, if we left out all the key changes). What do you think? Some Ben Harper might be fun and semi-easy. Train sings a couple of songs that I like too.

King-- Is KI`s injury serious?

Daddy-- Parentals will be in effect around 5:30 or 6 today. May not be able to hang out until late night or wait til Sunday afternoon.

Those sound good shakes. Also, I learned the #1 hit "Hey there Delilah" that the college ladies are loving right now. Its easy and fun to sing, room for some sweet harmony.

KI is out for the year - torn ACL.

Poor Kenny! I was so looking forward to watching the Auburn tandem in the Bengal backfield this season. I think he would`ve been very impressive as a Rookie. The thing that makes him so good is his motor never slowing down. I will miss seeing him on the field.

Never heard "Hey there Delilah." Can try to learn it though.

What about some old Ray Charles songs....like his versions of old Hank Williams Sr. tunes. That is some good shit to listen to.

I bet Daddy would want us to play some Michael Buble` or more Freddie Mercury.

tigernation said...

I'm emailing you a version of Hey there Delilah. I already know it start to finish, words and all. All you have to do is sing harmony on the chorus if thats cool with you.

ShakeYour$Maker said...

"Your the guitar guy and I`m the lead singer getting people off. That`s what I do...Get people off!!! Your looks are starting to become a problem too."--What movie is that from nation. it may not be word for word, but it`s something like that.

That`s cool with me. I like singing harmonies better anyway. You would like that song by the way. Gayness!!!

tigernation said...

Ha ha yeah its a little gay but hey, if the ladies are a-screamin...i'll play Rudoloph the red-nosed raindeer....See I'm not like my brother, I have no shame.

That is from Almost Famous. And yes, I'm the guitarist with mistique and you are the front man. Although, with you being married and all, I may just have to take all the thunder! My looks would be a problem if I took off my shirt on stage....ha ha

Lets do the Tenacious D song "F@%k Her Gently" directly after "Delilah"...to offset the gayness...I learned it the other day.

Tristan Davis out 608 weeks after having surgery to inset a pin in his broken toe.

Tex Dolittle out for season with torn achilles.

Neil Caudle injured his shoulder while being sacked for a safety in the scrimmage. (kid is hurt more than anybody i've ever seen)

Kodi Burns looked great scrambling and hitting freshman WR Carr on a long pass.

Yall remind me of that sketch on SNL with Ferrel and Katan when they were the gay Air Supply.

Daddy - are you talking about the Shakes-Nation musical experiment? If so, don't speak too soon because i'm working on a bit part for you as well. It may deal with the harmonica but probably something closer to you dancing beside us rather slowly while we play "Don't stop Beleiving" by Journey. I was thinking you cold wear a cheerleader outfit, errxtra small

Shakes - I have Brown Sugar and Midnight Rambler down to a T (really simple). Best put on your Mick Jagger pants

Daddy said...

I will do it. I get to pick my costume though, and you know it will be xtra small, except for the groin area which will have to be custom tailored or I could wear a large cod peice.

tigernation said...

You are welcome to choose any costume you like, as long as it is tight. And try to make sure your wife hates it...thats how we'll know its good. ha ha

Did you catch Californication last night on Showtime? It was pretty good, lots of boobies. Weeds was good too.

I had the final interview with Ed Jones this morning. IT went well but i just don't feel really confident about gettng the job for some reason. If i don't get it i have no idea what i'll do. Be broke as hell i guess.

Daddy said...

Weeds was good. The scene when they were in the bathroom with the pharmies was funny. Did not watch Californication because we had to record weeds and start it late.

If you dont get that job, you will be able to find another. Sometimes the ones you have the worst feeling about end up being the one you get though. When will you find out?

tigernation said...

She said 7 to 10 days but i would think it might be a little sooner. she was really nice and we had a nice conversation, she is a UT grad so we laughed about all the stupid Dawgies up here, and she knows my dad well. but she isn't the one making the decision

I know i can find something else if i have to but its just the unknown that drives me crazy. I'm not a very patient person.

If i do get it, the first 2 months is nothing but studying at home for the series 7 and series 66 exams. Getting paid to stay home and study? I will have to use my time wisely for sure...ha ha

I'm just hoping and praying that this comes through but if not i'll have to move on down the line i guess.

You seen any rental houses open lately? I saw some on the Auburn Realty website but if you see any let me know.

Daddy said...

Actually I have seen several around town and will keep an eye out for good ones.

Sweet, thanks.
