Final Chapters of the 2005 Season
The final chapters of the 2005 season will be written next week. The 2005 collegiate season's fortunes will influence the 2006 recruiting class as they near Signing Day. The NFL season wraps up with the 2006 Super Bowl XL next weekend in the Motor City. 47 and the Steelers at -4 have been posted by Vegas.
Two dumb headhunters in one picture. It will be interesting to see how the Predator fares on the Wonderlic Test. They were killers though.
Q: Why in the world would Bill Ford announce 30,000 job cuts and massive Ford assembly plant closings the Monday before his family hosts the Super Bowl and plays the game at Ford Field? Granted, it is a buzzkill at any time but....could this have waited another week of two? Negative vibes.
Q: All time recruiting bust? (Highly touted and zero results).
K of T: Dan Kendra or Ron Powlus(sp). Two Pennsylvania kids who Beano Cook said would win Heisman(s). Kendra blew out his knee at FSU and ended his career as a H-back due to bulking up to 250 lbs. Powlus never sniffed a big victory for the Irish.
You can't leave out Stickman.
Q: Do the Seahawks cover back door and hit over 47? Do the Steelers cover 4 in a brutal display of force? What are the early plays in the Super Bowl?
Q: Kobe scored 81 poi...puke...uggg....uhhhh.....puke....I can't bring myself to talk about such a horrid professional sport.
Q: Can Auburn pull a W/miracle in the Beard Eaves tomorrow night against a down Kentucky team?
Gentlemen, the stage is now yours.

As painful as the reality for Ford, it will help the long term.
When is Hawthorne suppose to have his press conference?
If Andre Smith by miracle came to Auburn would he start is career at guard?
McElroy might be the steal of Bama's class. Solid performer out of the best program in Texas.
Geography. AU seems to go east with venture into MS and LA while UA makes a living in MS and is venturing to Texas. The Tigers live in Georgia and Brentwood, TN. Neither has pulled much good talent out of LA lately with LSU shutting down the borders.
Ford stands for three things.....Fix Or Repair Daily......Found Off Road Dead...or...First On Race Day!
Instead of pointing out a recruiting bust of the past I will predict a bust.......Mitch Mustain. He looked like crap in the Army All-Star game and I just didn't see a whole lot of promise. I could be wrong, but that has only happened once so me being wrong is not probable.
Shakes, do you remember that FINE lady that gave me a back rub Saturday night? I know you thought it was funny but lets be honest, you were jealous that some random hot chick would come up to ME and start feeling me up. I just can't stop thinking about her. Ashleigh was very jealous and made it clear later in the evening. I almost wish I had taken that older lady home.
A quote from the Ole Ball Coach about recruiting the state of Alabama.
"This year we're going to sign some kids from Alabama," said Spurrier, who has landed four players from the state, including safety Darian Stewart, who committed last week. "In 12 years at Florida, I don't think we ever signed a kid from the state of Alabama."
He started to leave it at that, but he just couldn't resist.
"Of course, we found out later that the scholarships they were giving out at Alabama were worth a whole lot more than ours," he said.
Spurrier always makes me laugh.
Nation- That "older" you speak of was like 90. ughhghhh, that`s kind of sick.
As for the Ford Family....that shit was pretty low. You would think that by now, the Ford Family would have built some kind of Jetson`s moblie that can fly in the air. Until they build that machine, fuck `em. I won`t ever by a Ford.
As for a bust-- what about Jimmy Barnes? That kid won`t play a down at Bama. He was supposed to be some 4 or 5 star huh?
Other known busts- Darrius Gilbert-LB, Bama.....Lectron Daryl Williams-RB, Aubrn.....Many others can be added to this list.
Darius sucked at Bama. He was the best cheerleader/football player I have ever seen other than David Pollack. Darius used to jump on the pile once a tackle was made...then would come off the top dancing and going crazy like he made the freakin play. Yes, his parents did die that year...but wouldn`t that give you some extra heart and a reason to play harder..a "purpose".....He wasn`t even one of the "better" player on defense when he played.
Travis Carrol is a good one. I`m having a hard time coming up with names of players....I`ve got another good one.
Leading Rusher from the state of FL and I believe was MR. Florida Football in 2001 or 2002...none other than the dirty whitey that beat Bama by himself running for over 100+ yards...setting up 2 Robert Johnson TDs. Tre Smith. I bet he doesn`t even get to step on the field next season..except for kickoff coverage. He is the sprinter on one of the ends. What a bust he was and is. If only he would have held on to the ball.
WR DeAndre Green....Robert Baker...both kicked off the Auburn football team. Either could have been EXCELLENT in the pros. Baker might have been one of the best raw athletes I have ever seen.
Daddy, I had forgotten about that night but now that you mention it, that was pretty funny. Shakes was sweating like a pulpwooder. I felt like a complette moron at the "club" that night. Jeeze, the things we did in college sometimes blow my mind!
I might need to see those pics.
Some of those boys at the wedding told me to check out the Blackmon videos from when he was in high school so I bought a pass to Scout.com.
Let me just say this....he will knock someone out just like Junior at some point during NEXT season. I have never seen someone his size hit like he hits. To be 6 feet 200 he hits like a bus. Not only that, on one video he runs down a RUNNING BACK from 30 yards behind the guy. He plays sideline to sideline. The name "Little Ball of Hate" is no joke. He will be a killer.
Davis Irons was just granted his 6th year.
Try my email address and then the first part of it for the username. bloosier16
It remembers me from my computer so I'm not sure how that will work for y'all. Good luck
Please don't get me banned. HA I have only been a member for about 5 hours.
APB....from BEARD-EAVES-MEMORIAL-COLISEUM...Auburn basketball might be the worst.
Jacob and I had a blast last night laughing at Auburn. One time down the floor all 5 defenders were above the free throw line and Kentucky just threw it behind them and dunked the hell out of the ball. It was a RIOT!
One thing I will say about the AU B`ball team.....they will be pretty damn good in 2 years. When all these true freshmen are jr`s and sr`s, they will be good. They play about as sloppy as a peewee team, but show signs of greatness at times. I hope they can at least get one SEC win this season for confidence.
Dr.- any word on the Jonus kid that quit Bama`s bball team and where he is going? We could use his white 3 point shooting ass at Auburn for sure.
Good one, Dr. I think AU has two or 3 whites riding the pines.
I honestly think I should be bringing the ball up the court for Auburn. I know how to protect it and call a freaking play. And I know I can get back on defense as good as those morons. They have to be the worst team in the nation.
al.com has a poll asking if you think Auburn will qualify for the NIT. Are they kidding? They won't qualify for the state AISA tournament.
I hope you realize that I was one of two white boys on the 8th grade and JV teams and was the starting point guard on both.
Never tried out for varsity (focused on my true calling on the diamond) but you can be sure that I would have had quite a few dunks and 3 pointers if I had.
You do not want any of this......sprite?
